Champion (noun): A person who enthusiastically supports, defends, or fights for a belief or principle.
We rely on Total Health Champions to lead the charge at the local level. These individuals help educate employees about the importance of maintaining a good state of health; motivate their coworkers to learn about their unique health needs, take action, and effectively use the benefits available to them; and coordinate meaningful programs and events related to the five dimensions of Total Health: emotional health, financial health, physical health, purpose, and social health.
A happy and healthy workforce is a more productive workforce. Studies show employee health is tightly correlated with increased efficiency, lower healthcare costs, and greater employee engagement. While Caterpillar employs a dedicated team of health and wellness professionals scattered around the globe, the success of its programs depends on the support of employees who passionately believe in the value of well-being.
